Product Safety and Recall Policy

At Joie de Vivre, product safety is important. This Policy explains safety information for furniture products, assembly, use, recalls, and product safety communications.

1. General Product Safety

Customers should read and follow all product instructions, warnings, usage guidelines, care instructions, and safety information provided with the product.

Pet products should only be used for their intended purposes. For example, pet beds are for pets to rest on, pet crates are for housing or transporting pets, and leashes are for use when walking pets.

2. Assembly Safety

Some products (such as cat trees, pet cages, and large pet beds) may require assembly. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully read and follow the assembly instructions.

Improper assembly may lead to structural instability, product damage, injury to pets, or property damage.

Once assembly is complete, please check that all screws, clips, and connectors are securely fastened, and ensure the structure is stable before allowing your pet to use it.

3. Anti-Tip and Wall Anchoring

Some products (such as large cat climbing frames, tall pet cages, and multi-level cat trees) may pose a risk of tipping over if not properly secured.

If anti-tip hardware or wall anchoring hardware is included, it should be installed according to the instructions.

Do not allow children to climb on, hang from, or play on pet products.

4. Children and Household Safety

Customers should keep small parts, hardware, packaging materials, plastic bags, and tools away from children and pets. Packaging materials should be disposed of safely after assembly.

5. Product Care

Follow all care instructions provided with the product. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture, direct heat, strong sunlight, harsh cleaning chemicals, or improper cleaning methods unless the product is designed for such conditions.

6. Product Recalls and Safety Notices

If we become aware of a product recall, safety notice, or corrective action affecting a product sold by us, we may contact affected customers using the contact information provided at purchase.

We may also provide instructions regarding repair, replacement, refund, disposal, or other corrective action.

7. Reporting Safety Concerns

If you believe a product presents a safety risk, stop using the product and contact us immediately at info@joiedevivre.it or +39 02 2941 1235.

Please include your order number, product name, description of the safety concern, photos or videos, and product labels, batch numbers, or identifying information if available.

8. EU Product Safety Information

For products sold to consumers in the European Union, applicable product safety, manufacturer, importer, responsible economic operator, warning, and traceability information should be provided on the product, packaging, accompanying documentation, product page, or upon request where required by applicable law.
